Nouveaux visages sur la scène musicale québécoise depuis 2023, The Wild Palominos est un groupe country/folk néo-traditionnel originaire de Montmagny. Félix Guimond (chanteur et auteur-compositeur), Olivier Tanguay (batterie et chœurs) et Jérémy Boulet (guitare, chœurs et auteur-compositeur) offrent un son country inspiré de certaines des plus grandes légendes country américaines telles que Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson et Brooks and Dunn. Entièrement écrites et produites par le groupe, les chansons originales du trio se démarquent par leur grande qualité de production et la richesse de leurs harmonies vocales. Le groupe sort son premier EP You Like Missing Me en 2023, suivi de leur premier album complet Wilder en 2024. Ils se sont produits dans de nombreux festivals québécois tels que Lasso Montréal, Festival country Lotbinière et Norwest Festival, et ont fait la première partie de l’artiste canadien Aaron Goodvin au Festival Western de St-Tite. Le groupe a joué pour la première fois à l’extérieur de la province au CCMA Crawl à Edmonton en septembre 2024, dans le cadre des célébrations des prix de l’Association canadienne de la musique country. Cet été, en plus de se promener aux quatre coins du Québec avec leur nouveau spectacle, ils ont performé au Cavendish Beach Festival en première partie de Shania Twain ainsi qu’en Alberta au populaire festival Country Thunder à Calgary. L’automne dernier, The Wild Palominos s’associe à Bud Light Canada pour présenter la tournée Buckle Up Tour, 10 dates aux quatre coins du Québec. The Wild Palominos are one of the most exciting new faces on the Canadian country music scene. Hailing from Montmagny, QC, this neo-traditional country and folk trio brings a sound inspired by some of the genre’s greatest legends : Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn, while adding their own modern twist. Known for their rich vocal harmonies and high production quality, The Wild Palominos deliver songs that capture heartfelt stories and timeless melodies. Their debut EP, You Like Missing Me (2023), introduced their authentic country sound, followed by their first full-length album Wilder (2024), which earned them a Top 10 contender spot in the Americana category at the 2024 CCMA Awards. Since their debut, The Wild Palominos have played some of Québec’s biggest country festivals including Lasso Montreal and are now expanding their footprint across the rest of Canada, with key performances at Cavendish Beach Festival, the CCMA Crawl in Edmonton, Country Thunder Alberta, and The King Eddy in Calgary. The momentum continues as they prepare to showcase at NXNE in Toronto next June, further cementing their growing national presence.
